WH HIRE LARGE HANDHELD 110V FLOORSAW
The HD35 has a fuller bodied blade guard that completely covers the saw blade, a dust extration port for dry cutting applications and double rollers which assist when guiding the machine over walls, floors etc.
The HD35 can be used wet (with the minimal amount of water required for efficient dust suppression), or dry (only in combination with laser welded diamond blades), and is ideal for indoor renovation work or for use in confined spaces because it is electrically powered and does not emit hazardous fumes and is also significantly quieter in operation. Cutting with the HD35 is quick, easy and safe. Furthermore, the Xpert HD35 is designed and made in Europe - that's part of the Xpert design, build and performance product difference!
The blade guard of the HD35 has an ergonomically shaped rim, with which the HD35 can easily be steered and supported with the left hand during the cutting process. An extra side handle can also be mounted on 2 positions in the blade guard, which is extremely useful when making horizontal cuts. With 3 spirit levels mounted in the gearbox housing, it's very easy to make perfect straight cuts with the HD35 too! The use of lightweight, yet robust materials, combine to make the HD35 extremely easy and versatile to handle.
The HD35 has a built-in cutting depth regulation system, which is clearly visible and quick and easy to set, from 0 to 14cm. The wide perforated baseplate enables 100% straight cutting each and every time, and is designed to significantly reduce drag on a wide variety of surfaces. The integrated double spirit level provides an ideal assistance for horizontal as well as vertical cuts.
Depending upon the material being cut and it's compressive strength/material composition, the standard depth per cut/pass is typically 3-5cm. This is generally then repeated until the full and desired cutting depth is achieved. Vertical cuts are made from the top-down, with the water hose and eletric cable above the machine and out of the way, especially when cutting close to the floor. For horizontal cuts the HD35 is used with the motor upright to avoid cooling water entering the motor, and then passed in a left to right motion.
A flow indicator is mounted in the water supply, which provides, at an easy glance, if the water supply is being applied at the required amount. Thanks to the ingenius design of the HD35, where cooling water is precisely regulated by a needle valve and passed through a hollow shaft in the specially designed gearbox and sprayed from the centre of the saw blade, only 50% of the amount of water usually required (about 1 l/min) is necessitated. This in turn signifcantly reduces the amount of dust, slurry and mess to the surrounding environment, thereby reducing the amount of time to make good after the cutting process has been completed. Top quality seals prevent water leakage and are designed for heavy duty conditions.
During overload situations, the motor of the HD35 is protected by an in-built thermal relay. A special slip clutch prevents gearbox damage should the saw blade become jammed during use.
